Teaching Overview
“Education is a vehicle for change. I use it as a platform to build confidence, competence, and real-world impact in cybersecurity.”
With a background rooted in both professional practice and academic research, I focus on equipping students with a balanced foundation of applied cybersecurity skills and theoretical understanding. I design and deliver learning experiences that emphasize cloud security, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), integrating real-world case studies, practical labs, and policy-driven discussions.
As a Ph.D. candidate in Cybersecurity Leadership, my academic work focuses on applying federal and defense security frameworks to commercial cloud environments. I bring this perspective into the classroom, helping learners understand the broader implications of secure system design and compliance in complex, regulated industries.
Teaching Experience:
Senior IT Architect: Design and lead federal cybersecurity architecture initiatives while facilitating internal training sessions, technical workshops, and stakeholder knowledge-sharing forums on cloud security, compliance, and risk management.
Cybersecurity Educator & Mentor: Provide individualized tutoring and curriculum support for learners at all levels, with a focus on practical readiness, exam preparation, and concept mastery.
Program Manager: Oversee technology education programs that deliver career-readiness skills and project-based learning for underrepresented communities in cybersecurity and IT
Curriculum Vitae Summary:
Current Role: Senior IT Architect with deep specialization in cloud architecture, compliance frameworks, and security governance across federal and commercial sectors.
Academic Credentials: Doctoral candidate in Cybersecurity Leadership at Capitol Technology University, focused on governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) in multi-cloud environments.
Entrepreneurship: Founder of STEMiulate Security Advisory (MSSP/MSP cybersecurity services), STEMiulate Editorial (technical editing and content development), and STEMiulator Learning (cybersecurity education and tutoring).
Teaching Philosophy:
My teaching philosophy prioritizes clarity, equity, and engagement. I foster an interactive learning environment that incorporates real-world simulations, case-based reasoning, and collaborative problem-solving. Students are encouraged to think critically, apply concepts in simulated professional contexts, and develop technical communication skills that align with workforce needs.
I aim to make cybersecurity accessible without sacrificing depth. Each course is structured to ensure students leave with tangible, transferable skills and a clear understanding of the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
If you are seeking an educator who can contribute technical depth, curriculum development, and community-focused leadership to your academic or training programs, I welcome the opportunity to collaborate. Please feel free to connect and request additional materials, including my CV, teaching philosophy, or sample course materials.
